The #1 Jax Beach Boutique Is…

by haikuhouse

Jacksonville Beach used to be a quiet seaside town on the Atlantic Ocean. In recent years though, it’s become an increasingly attractive coastal community.

It’s one of the first places you hit if your traveling to any other city in Florida. It’s lively, with great restaurants & many leisurely activities all fun for the entire family.

There are boutiques galore. Literally. Like on almost every corner all up & down A1A.

There is one boutique though that stands out from them all…

Mermaids Grotto &The Bungalow

It’s a little beach bungalow right off 3rd Street with rooms full of hand-made goods by local artists & amazing antiques. There is something for everyone (that won’t break the bank.) You can buy something beautiful & still go get a nice lunch!

Sarah & Victoria, owners of Mermaids Grotto share the same passion for keeping it LOCAL. All their vendors are from Jacksonville & St. Augustine. They are all extremely talented creators of artwork, jewelry, ceramics ect.

Not to mention, Sarah is a photographer & Victoria creates stunning, functional home decor pieces which she sells there as well.

My favorite is probably the gorgeous jewelry made by Paulette. I have seen a lot of this sort & she nails it with every piece. She has a sophisticated eye for color.

Renee, owner of The Bungalow, has the eye also…For antiques. I’m always blown away by the interesting pieces she finds. Beautiful vintage books, always in good condition…Salvaged architectural peices like decorative window paned doors & door-knobs…Obscure little oddities & artwork. If your renovating a Craftsman home or your own bungalow, she will have the perfect little piece for your bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom.

I suggest you get with Renee to find that perfect & unique gift for Father’s Day!

She isn’t the frilly antique hunter, she also has super cool masculine items for dad’s garage and/or “man-cave”….Sports memorabilia, baseball cards, Coca-Cola collectibles & many interesting things to hang on the wall, like a really HUGE rusted saw blade. (And by rusted, I mean beautiful!)

If you mention ‘Haiku House’ during the rest of the month of May, you will receive 10% off & 5% off during the month of July!!

They are located at 228 6th Ave in South Jacksonville Beach.

Don’t forget to tell them HH sent you!

Have a wonderful day,

-HH
