“The City Bloomed In Its Season”

by haikuhouse

Beautiful line from ‘The Autobiography Of An Idea’…Louis Sullivan is referring to his beloved city of Chicago, his garden city.

Well, after cutting mostly 14 1/2″ panels (good framing!) yesterday, J & I picked a handful of flower buds off some trees in the woods behind us.

I’m almost certain it’s a type of magnolia. The actual flowers in full bloom were much smaller than the colossal, velveteen white magnolias.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Peace & blessings to all,

-HH
